Month 10 of 12
Connection & community
Letting others walk beside you.
This month's theme
Grief can make the world feel very small. It is easier, sometimes, to stay inside the safe walls of your own pain than to risk being misunderstood again. But healing rarely happens in isolation. Somewhere, quietly, slowly, you may be ready to let one or two people closer. A friend who lost too. A small group. A safe online space. A counsellor. A church mother who simply sits with you. You don't have to share everything with everyone. You only have to let yourself be seen, a little, by someone who is safe.
Three soft prompts
Sit with one. Or all three. Or none today. They will wait for you.
Who is one person, present or imagined, that you wish you could grieve more openly with? What stops you, gently?
What kind of company feels safest right now, silent presence, shared stories, prayer, practical help, or simply being treated like a normal person?
What is one small step you could take this month to let someone in, a message, a coffee, a group, a prayer request, that wouldn't cost too much softness?
This stays only with you, on this device. Nothing is sent or saved.
Affirmation
“I do not have to walk this alone. Letting one safe person closer is not weakness, it is courage.”
